Can i use aluminium cake pan on a combination microwave (oven is Panasonic GD576M and has no Covection button?

 Panasonic 1000W Oven GD576M Faculty (1300W Grill) - installing microwave, grill, cooking combined. Can use metal pan to solidify if used in association mode? Can anyone please explain how preheating is if I use rational combination - to bake a cake?
