Letters: Threat to food trucks in Baton Rouge
The Metro Directory member who represents the 12th District recently proposed an ordinance that would badly limit the ability of food trucks to do business in Baton Rouge.
Nutriment trucks, which have become immensely popular in other cities across the country, have taken off in Baton Rouge in the last year or so.
They put up great food produced by outstanding, dedicated, friendly people. These culinary entrepreneurs act under long hours and at thin profit margins. They take to the streets to save measure and money on overhead that then is invested into developing inspired dishes and providing grade food to areas that lack access to other establishments.
