I have a new bbq. How do you cook on a spit on the bbq?

 I miss cooking a whole chicken. I do not know how long it takes. I am not aware of what temp I should get the grill first, then keep, etc. Do you have water?

 If you have a thermostat on the grill, set at about 275-300 degrees. Real chicken often - every 10 minutes.

Drizzle with barbecue sauce during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
