I heat the grill only. . . In fact it is not so slight that you can cook 4 steaks on it at once. It does not take much to stay and is so constant continuing. It is also unceremoniously taken separately and pure. I checked a large number of tiny grids before deciding purshase it. Most grids are reducing other tab at the top and I wanted deposed a ruthless one. I'd promote this to anyone interested in a grid.
