Do you have to use lava rocks in a gas grill?

 I bought a neutral gas barbecue, and it didn't come with lava rocks, but I've seen in other grids. Was I s'posed to get some?

 You do not have them. They partition the heat more evenly, but are not mandatory.

How is your Gas Grill Working?

Not a day goes by that someone does not underestimate delete me let the cat out the bag on me about how their grid does not work correctly.
